Lip Reshaping

Goal: Improvement of the lip contour, enlargement of thin lips, and correction of asymmetry.

LIP AUGMENTATION

Surgical technique: The lips can be enlarged best, safest, and most permanently by injecting one's own adipose tissue taken with a thin needle from another part of the body where it is in excess and simultaneously transferring it to the thinned lips with thin cannulas. In the hands of an experienced surgeon, there are no complications such as infection, rejection, excessive fat absorption and potential deformities. Injection of hyaluronic fillers is much faster and simpler for an experienced plastic surgeon, but not for numerous injectors of different profiles where, despite the apparent simplicity, there are many problems. On the other hand, all types of hyaluronic fillers are artificially made, to some extent imitate natural hyaluronic acid, but never completely, and with the technical shortcomings of the injectors can lead to numerous complications such as infection, granulomas, etc. that are difficult to correct. Also, they should never be injected in large quantities or for a long period of time, because then they will certainly lead to complications.

Duration of the procedure and anesthesia: Lip augmentation with one's own adipose tissue is performed in local block anesthesia or IV analgosedation completely painless for about 30-40 minutes, while the procedure with the injection of high-quality permitted and registered fillers of the hyaluronic acid type is much shorter about 5 minutes.

Recovery: A few days after the intervention, there may be a minor swelling or bruising that resolves spontaneously very quickly, but excessive stretching or lip massage should be refrained from. Given that there is a normal degree of resorption of fat (about 50%), it is possible to repeat the procedure after some time in order to obtain a more pronounced result that is permanent and lifelong, which is a special advantage compared to hyaluronic fillers, whose lifespan is usually a few months.

Rare Complications: Slight swelling of the lips, minor bruising for hyaluronic fillers and a possible allergic reaction with swelling and redness that is treated easily.

SHORTENING OF THE ELONGATED UPPER LIP

Operational technique: In cases of elongated upper lip, which is a major aesthetic defect, it is necessary to shorten the upper lip through a smaller hidden scar under the fold of the nose that is barely noticeable, the so-called "Bull horn lip lifting". In this way, the upper lip is effectively shortened and spontaneously everted at the same time, especially if it is thinned.

Duration of the procedure: The intervention is performed under local anesthesia or IV analgosedation painlessly and efficiently, lasts about 30 minutes.

Recovery: After the surgery, there is a minor swelling that spontaneously passes in 5 days, and the sutures are removed 6 days after the intervention. The scar is hidden and treated with creams for better healing for the next 4 months.

SURGICAL LIP AUGMENTATION

Operational technique: In cases of very thinned lips, the injection of any fillers (natural or artificial) cannot lead to an adequate and normal enlargement of the vermilion( visible part of the lips), on the contrary, it can lead to unnatural deformations of the type of "duck lips", immobile and caricatural appearance of the lips themselves, which is definitely not the goal of cosmetic surgery, and which can be seen on numerous Internet sites. In this case, a simple surgical intervention is performed from the inside of the lip, the so-called "W-Y plastic," which leads to an increase in the enlargement of the vermilion(visible) part of the lips.

Duration of the procedure: The procedure is performed under local anesthesia painlessly and efficiently and lasts about 30 minutes.

Recovery: After the operation, there is a small swelling that passes very quickly, and the sutures are removed 6 days after the operation.

Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.
