Ear Surgery

Goal: To correct outset and misshapen ears.

Surgical Procedure: The procedure consists of reshaping the cartilage in order to accomplish right shape and angle between concha and head.

Duration and Anesthesia: The procedure is done in local anesthesia and it is lasting 60-90 minutes for both sides, incisions are behind ears. It can be done in general anesthesia with small children.

Procedure is not age limited, but for children it is recommended at the age of 6-7. If surgery is done before starting school, children don’t have possible trauma.

Post Surgical Recovery: Dressings are removed after seven days and sutures after two weeks.

Rare Complications: Temporary swelling and hematomas.
